As of July 2012 a search revealed there are NINE unsatisfied court judgements against Mailbox Nationwide Ltd.
My Name is Tobin Jones. I am director of Tobin Jones Ltd, a lettings agency in Oxfordshire.
This is not the website of Mailbox Nationwide. If you are looking for Mailbox Nationwide's website it might be helpful for you to be warned first.
In 2010 we found Mailbox Nationwide using a Google search and commissioned them to carry out a large maildrop for us. Cutting a long story short, they did not drop our leaflets (they did not even collect half of them) and would not refund their charges. We took them to the small claims court and won our case (Case 00X02338 in the Oxford County Court). We have a court order against them for £4895.93. Caroline Pocock, the owner of mailbox direct has promised payment on many occasions but not paid. She has agreed to make payment by £500 installments but failed to do so.
We arranged for the Court bailiffs to visit and seize goods to the value but not surprisingly none of the goods at the site belonged to Mailbox Nationwide according to them.
I have spoken with Caroline on the telephone many times. She lies easily. We have visited their offices (an empty but rather nice secluded house), and were redirected to her new premises a restaurant called Poppleford Restaurant just down the road, where we met some of her family.
Mrs Pocock told us that the company was in liquidation and no longer trading. We phoned the website address a few minutes later asking for a quote for a mail drop and her staff were happy to quote. When we challenged her on this she said “that’s as maybe, its just how it is.. “ Needless to say the company has not been placed in liquidation.
We have spoken with Devon Trading Standards who are investigating her business due to the many similar complains.
If you are considering using Mailbox Nationwide, don’t do so without first checking up on them. There is plenty of evidence on the internet. They don’t deliver your leaflets and they do take your money. Don’t be taken in and we recommend very strongly that you don’t use them. They are very dishonest!
If you would like to know more please feel free to contact me. I don’t like being scammed and I don’t want anyone else to be either.
